E-Doc-S and Beyond

 

In addition to modern-day freelance writing, my specialty area is edocument publishing. There is actually nothing new about this type of publishing; as a writer, you've probably already typed a page or two in a word processor, right?

 

Ah ... but if you observe the ongoing music industry convulsions over the price of a CD, and then become informed concerning the same with the publishing industry, then you begin to observe certain things.

 

In order of precedence:

 

• When posted to the Web, edocuments have the potential to propagate with the same intensity as Web 2.0 shared videos (e.g., YouTube).

 

• When used properly--i.e., when meta data is inserted into a PDF document that is attached to a Web site or blog--the edocuments add to search engine optimization (SEO) for the Web site or blog (makes the information easier to find on the Web, raises the Web page's placement within search results; however you want to say it).

 

• The math ...
