Reforger: 1981

First idea for a book idea began to coalesce during a training exercise in Yakima Desert in Washington State. I had just spent two light infantry years in South Rainier Training Area [otherwise known as "Paradise"] wondering how many Hemingway wannabes had put pen to paper describing the intricacies of tripping through the woods with an M67 Recoilless Rifle strapped on a rucksack.

My unit had just returned from REFORGER (Returning Forces to Germany) ...

Anyway, dude beat me to the punch with Team Yankee ...

1987-1992 Promotion board study guides and tactical standard operating procedures (translated field manuals into small-unit-tactic guides).

1986-2001 Overseas U.S. military consumer advocate (while on active duty).

1979-2001 U.S. Army infantry, retired.
